...we start with the body and work with the breath to restore the mind...
The past two years have weighed on all of us to some extent. There is hardly anybody who has gone through the recent global crisis without any sense of loss or hardship. Everybody has heard - and some have experienced - how yoga and meditation can help you overcome mental suffering. But sometimes it is hard to even think of a regular practice when you just ‘don’t feel it’, or when you are too overwhelmed by your emotions and feelings of hardship and pain to even think of rolling out your yoga mat. We tend to lose touch with our body and numb our mind after having experienced loss, grief, loneliness or any kind of psychological trauma...
Through the mind all sense of suffering and pain enter the body where it eventually gets stuck. You get stuck. But your body is a miracle. Your body is the vessel and your breath the steering wheel which in stormy water you will need to reach the shore and get grounded again. One way to obtain mental harmony and to unlock your full potential again is to work through the body. Which is why, during this yoga week, we start with the body and use the breath to restore the mind. All of the practice will be done in a beautiful and soothing surrounding and an extremely friendly and comforting atmosphere, with a touch of India right here on the shore of the deep blue Mediterranean sea.
The Harmony Beach Yoga Retreat is designed to help you get back on track!

Vishu was initiated in Yoga and Yoga philosophy by his grandfather. Further on his yogic path he continued to learn from his elder brother Jagjeet Singh (Jaggi) who is also a great yogi and his guru. After completion of his college studies Vishu decided to take on Yoga as a full time career and he keeps on sharing all that knowledge. Learning from Vishu is one of a kind experience. He believes in a hand in hand teaching style. You will find him standing with you on each point of your learning journey and thereafter. You will deep dive into the world of the ancient Yoga and meditation techniques of India and their application.
During the corona crisis i experienced a great deal of personal loss. In all fairness, emotionally 2021 was the roughest year of my life. I could not
"wrap my brain around#$what was happening, let alone process it all. This resulted in sadness and grief getting stuck in my body. This process was even
visible, i looked and moved differently. I didn#t feel "myself#$anymore. Even though i am a senior yoga instructor having a profound knowledge of the many ways in which yoga can help you find the physical and mental
resilience to cope with the "things happening to you#$it took some quality time at Harmony Beach and a trip to India where i reunited with the authentic
Indian Hatha yoga practice to help me get "back on track#. I am extremely
happy, grateful and also proud to be able to bring two of my yoga guru#s (teachers) to Spain to pass on the teachings which have helped me so much to get the balance back in my life to everyone who needs it, in the comforting, friendly and paradisiacal setting of Harmony Beach.”
Jackie (Jakobien) is a senior yoga teacher (500 hrs Yoga Alliance) who was trained in Rishikesh and Goa, India. She is also a travel writer, journalist and a fervent horse rider. She lives together with her horses, donkey dogs, cats and goats on an olive farm.
